Abstract

The research paper is to analyze the reported cases on the incidence of infant mortality recorded at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. The selected sample data which was secondary comprised of 1441 males and 1289 females infant deaths recorded at Medical Record Unit of UCH, Ibadan from 2006 to 2019 inclusively. The analytical tools employed in this study include: Test of Normality assumptions for both Histogram curve and Boxplot, were valid for the data used; Test of Homogeneity of variance using Levene’s test showed that ...therefore the mean prevalence of male infant death do not determine the mean prevalence of female infant death at UCH Ibadan, Oyo State.
